Government says 93% of jobs plan targets met

July 2012 – Among the measures due for completion were passing the Credit Guarantee Bill, the Microenterprise Loan Fund Bill and visa programmes for entrepreneurs outside the EU.

The Government also noted progress on establishing a joint IDA/Enterprise Ireland senior management team.
Joint initiatives between the bodies aimed at attracting inward entrepreneurs, and maximising procurement opportunities for Irish business and multinationals.

The announcement, made by An Taoiseach, Tánaiste and Minister for Jobs Richard Bruton took place at the Arran Healthcare in the Guinness Enterprise Centre in Dublin, one of six companies selected to take part in the demonstrator project of the Healthcare Innovation Hub, one of the aims laid out for this quarter.

An Taoiseach said the plan was central to the Government’s efforts in tackling unemployment and that the first quarter commitments have all been met, while 93% of the second quarter commitments have been met.
