31 January 2014 – Evolving technology and changes in consumer habits are presenting huge opportunities for Irish companies operating in the animation and gaming industries. But will a skills shortage hinder the development of both sectors?
A recent report by Dean Van Nguyen in InBusiness Magazine (dated 14.01.14) highlights the benefits of The Bridge Project, a collaboration between Ballyfermot College, the Guinness Enterprise Centre, Dublin Business Innovation Centre (Dublin BIC) and creative industry heavyweights: Havok, JAM Media, Brown Bag Films and Riot Games. It aims to nurture key talent for current and future industry needs in the area of animation, games and related areas like VFX (visual effects).
